Our Story

Nov 5th 2014

First off, thank you for visiting my store!

We are so excited our little family business has grown to the capacity of a website. I never ever would have thought that I would have my own sewing business and be selling fabric online! But God has big plans for us and He knows just what we need and will provide. I will start off my first post by telling you a little bit about myself. I guess my journey started about 3 years ago, so that is where I will start...

After graduating college, I took a giant leap of faith and moved away from home to further my career in the pipeline industry. Louisiana was where I was born and raised, and the only place I had ever known. It was home. So, for me to pack up and leave for a place completely out of my comfort zone was definitely a God thing, because I know I would have never made it in my own strength! So, I packed up with almost everything I could think of and took the 1250 mile journey to northern Pennsylvania. For the next 14 months I spent working, I also got to experience a lot of fun things that I've never experienced back home....a snowy winter, fun shopping (Ikea!), New York City, Niagara Falls - just to name a few, and not to mention the friends I met along the way.

It wasn't until the following fall that I was introduced to my husband by some friends from church back home. After a few Facebook messages (Don't make fun! We have a great story to tell our kids), we officially 'met' over the phone. We met face to face a month after and were engaged another month later! It was very fast, but I fell in love with him so quickly, I knew he was the one God had prepared for me.

Since then, I moved back home where we both work full-time for a faith-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and are also Children's Church pastors. We've been married for over 2 years now and have a son, Ryder, who is 19 months old. Ryder has so much personality built in his tiny, petite self.  He has brought so much joy to our lives.

Shortly after Ryder was born, I started sewing some things for him and my hobby quickly started to grow into something more. My husband encouraged me to open an online shop to sell my items and eventually fabric. We are looking into having more lines of fabric available along with more handmade items for your little ones. I try to choose fabrics and designs that everyone will love. I love woodland, floral and animal prints. If you have any suggestions or ideas for me, please send me a message through the Contact page. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm so excited to see where God leads this business and I hope you come back to see more!
