We are now in my favorite month of the year! The time changes, leaves change colors, and pumpkin spice lattes are back in stores :) I love Thanksgiving.
This year I have so many things to be thankful for. Of course my husband and little boy make the top of my list! Next on my list is our family. Jacob and I are both blessed with wonderful parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. I'm also thankful for our jobs. We work for a ministry called Freedom Challenge that houses men and women struggling with addictions and teach them about Christ. We see firsthand the power of forgiveness and God's love. I'm living in the light of God's grace as Jacob graduated from the program five years ago! I'm so grateful God had his hand on him all those years ago and prepared us both for what we are living in today.
Another thing I am thankful for is the opportunity to build our new home! We recently purchased some land and are in the beginning stages of building. I've dreamed of building my own house for a long time, but the timing was never right. Our plans are not God's plans, and He showed me that His are so much bigger than mine anyway. Now I get to share this journey with Jacob and Ryder, and we are so excited!
I'm very thankful for our friends. We have friends we work with, go to church with, friends I've known since elementary school (2nd grade to be exact :)....each and every one will pray for us, pray with us, and be there no matter the circumstances. We are so blessed!
And last but not least, I'm so thankful for my business! It has grown a lot this year, and I'm grateful for all the work I've received.
So, what are you thankful for this year? What new adventures has God brought your way?
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
